Springs
The most common repair. Part grade matters more than labour here, and on a two-spring door both get replaced together, which is priced as one job rather than two.
Spring repairWhat drives the number, by repair type, so you can read any quote you are given.
Because a number without your door attached to it is not information, it is bait. A spring on a single steel door and a spring on an insulated double are the same job description and not the same price, and any page quoting one figure for both is guessing at your expense.
What is useful is the shape. Repairs group into bands: small hardware jobs at the bottom, component replacement like springs and cables in the middle, opener and panel work above that, with an after-hours callout sitting above whichever band applies.
Knowing which band you are in, and what moves you between them, is what lets you read a quote from anyone. That is what the rest of this page is for. See also repair or replace if the door has been back more than once.
Five things, and they apply whoever you hire.
A roller or a hinge is a different job from a torsion spring, a cable drum or a bent track section. An opener replacement is different again, and a panel is different from all of them.
This is the one people miss on springs. A standard set and a high-cycle set carry meaningfully different prices, and the cheaper one is not the cheaper answer on a door that cycles ten times a day.
A single steel door and an insulated double or a custom wood door do not carry the same hardware, and the parts are not priced alike.
A door that has run a decade without service usually needs more than the one part that failed. The honest quote says so up front rather than discovering it halfway.
A scheduled appointment and a 2am callout for a door that will not close are different jobs. Both are available, and any quote should tell you which one you are buying.
Exact price after a look at the door, usually the same day. We do not price a door over the phone.

Spring repairDepends whether it is fraying, a snap, or a drum problem behind it. Usually paired with a spring inspection, because they share the same load path.
Cable repairA board or a gear set is a component repair. A full unit replacement is a different band entirely.
Opener repairDriven by door style, material and whether matching sections are still made. A discontinued panel is the case where a repair quote gets close to a replacement quote.
ReplacementNot just ours. These are the questions that separate a real quote from a number.
A quote that will not itemise is not a cheaper quote, it is a quote you cannot compare. You can verify it with the Florida DBPR for whoever you are considering.

Because the honest answer depends on the door. We can tell you which band a symptom usually falls into, and we will, but a firm number needs the door in front of us.
Yes. We look at the door, tell you what it needs and what it costs, and you decide from there.
The surviving spring has run the same cycles under the same conditions. Replacing one restores the door and leaves the second failure weeks away, plus a second callout.
A 2am emergency and a scheduled appointment are different jobs, and any quote should tell you plainly which one you are buying.
Ask it to itemise: parts and grade, both springs or one, whether the balance and safety test are included, and whether the callout is separate. A fair quote answers all four without friction.
Not always. Once panels are cracking or the same door has been back three times, the repair spend stops making sense. The repair or replace guide works through where the line sits.
Give us the symptom and a number. We will call you back, usually within the same working day. For a door that will not close, call (689) 407-8963 instead.
