Information on this site is general

The guides, diagnostics and cost explanations on this site describe how garage door systems generally behave and what usually causes a given symptom. They are written from field experience, not tailored to your door.

Nothing here is a substitute for someone looking at your specific door. Do not rely on a page here to decide whether a component is safe. In particular, garage door springs and cables hold enough stored energy to cause serious injury, and we tell you plainly on those pages not to work on them yourself.

Quotes, pricing and availability

Any price band, timeframe or availability described on this site is indicative. A binding price comes from a written estimate after we have seen the door.

Service areas, hours and response times described here can change. Call to confirm anything you are relying on.

Work we carry out

Work performed at your property is governed by the estimate and any written terms provided with it, not by this page. Where the two differ, the estimate and its terms take precedence.

We hold Florida contractor license #93-2002026. You are welcome to verify it with the state before booking, and we would encourage you to do that for any contractor.

Booking and cancellation

Appointments can be rescheduled or cancelled by calling us. For emergency and after-hours dispatch, a technician may already be en route, and any charge applying in that case will have been described to you on the call before dispatch.

Your responsibilities

To carry out work we need safe access to the door and the opening.

• Please make sure vehicles, storage and obstructions are clear of the door and its tracks before the appointment.
• Tell us about anything unsafe at the property, including previous work on the door that you know about.
• Keep people and animals away from the door while work is in progress.
• Do not operate the door during a service visit unless the technician asks you to.

Intellectual property

The text, diagrams, images and layout of this site belong to Fair Garage Repair Windermere or its licensors. You may read, print and share pages for your own use. Republishing the content commercially, or copying it onto another site, is not permitted without written permission.

Third party content and links

This site links to outside resources such as county permit pages, code authorities and manufacturer or industry bodies, and displays reviews through a third party platform. We do not control those sites or that content, and linking to them is not an endorsement of everything on them.
